Market-Data Tools
HyperionX includes chart data, Level II, Time and Sales, and MegaDOM surfaces. Their data source and maturity are not identical.
Provider Depth Availability
| Provider | Depth support | Public status |
|---|---|---|
| KuCoin | Streaming market depth for enabled Spot and Futures markets | Current; validate the exact market and permissions. |
| Rithmic | Streaming market depth | Current; entitlement and environment dependent. |
| Hyperliquid | Snapshot and streaming market depth | Current for market-data use. |
| Binance | No supported clean-setup path | Unavailable / Coming Soon. The picker locks new setup; legacy preconfigured state is not release-certified. |
| Jupiter, o1.exchange, Tradovate | None in the supported public build | Unavailable. |
Depth availability does not guarantee that every level contains an order count. Size, aggregation, depth count, and update frequency are provider-specific.
Level II
When a real provider depth snapshot is unavailable, empty, or fails, the current Level II window can populate generated fallback prices, sizes, timestamps, and bid/ask rows. Its status text can report that depth is unavailable while rows remain visible.
Do not use Level II rows for trading decisions unless the window identifies a current provider snapshot for the intended symbol.
Before relying on Level II:
- Confirm the provider connection is active.
- Confirm the symbol and connection shown by the window.
- Confirm the status identifies a provider depth update and current timestamp.
- Treat an unavailable, empty, or fallback state as no market depth.
Time And Sales
Time and Sales has two different launch states:
- Chart-linked: receives tick updates from the active chart and is Current for the connected chart stream.
- Standalone or workspace-restored: can open with seeded sample rows when no active chart is attached. This state is Preview and is not a live tape.
Open Time and Sales from the intended active chart whenever you need actual chart-linked prints. Verify the symbol in the window title and confirm that timestamps advance with the market or Playback clock.
MegaDOM
MegaDOM is the sole public product name for the depth ladder and DOM order-entry window. Some internal class names use SuperDom; this does not represent a separate public SuperDOM product.
MegaDOM provides:
- a price ladder
- provider depth where available
- Market and Limit order entry
- account and instrument selection
- time-in-force selection
- OCO preset selection
- cancel, close, reverse, and flatten actions
MegaDOM sends orders to its selected connected account and does not show a general manual-order confirmation dialog. Playback does not automatically replace the account with LocalPaper; while Playback is active, the current release-candidate build rejects Broker and Server Paper submissions, changes, and cancellations. Select LocalPaper explicitly.
When real depth is unavailable, MegaDOM can fall back to price context from an open chart. Chart price context is not equivalent to a provider order book.
Data-Provenance Checklist
For every market-data tool, verify:
- provider and connection
- instrument and market
- live, historical, or Playback clock
- last update time
- whether the view contains provider depth, chart-derived price context, or generated/sample data
If provenance is unclear, treat the tool as display-only and verify the market through the provider before acting.
